Cora (Seastrunk) Davis

© Kathy Duncan, 2015

Cora Seastrunk, was the daughter of Samuel and Susan (Thurman) Seastrunk. The 1900 census indicates that Cora was born in Feb. 1858 not 1857. The census also consistently gives her place of birth as Texas rather than Mississippi. In order for her to be born in 1857, her place of birth would have to be Mississippi rather than Texas. No doubt, Samuel and Susan Thurman had married before their removal from Mississippi in late September 1857, when Susan would have been four months pregnant with Cora.
